Archbishop cautions against woman's alleged apparitions

The Archdiocese of Baltimore has ordered a Pennsylvania woman to stop disseminating messages she claims to receive from the Virgin Mary.

Gianna Talone-Sullivan (left, in file photo), of Fairfield, Pa., has claimed that the Holy Mother first appeared to her more than two decades ago. She began to share her alleged messages during weekly meetings at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Emmitsburg in 1993.

    Knights’ Caudle boots goal that puts division in three-way tie for title

    Had the ball drifted an inch or so to the right, the girls soccer standings in the MVAL Piedmont Division might look very different today.

    But as it was, Middletown's 1-0 road win at Walkersville on Tuesday night, courtesy of a brilliant corner kick by sophomore Jenna Caudle, means the Knights, Lions and North Hagerstown all share the division title with 3-1 records.
