Assistant News Editor (Full-time)
Will read and edit reporter stories submitted by the City Desk and AP news copy to find and correct errors in grammar, spelling, syntax, facts and clarity. Rewrites story leads and writes headlines for articles. Will be responsible for page design and overseeing Designers and Copy Editors on a nightly basis. Will assume copy desk management responsibilities in the absence of News Editor. Normal working hours are 3:00 PM to 12:00AM; Tuesday through Saturday; however, ability to work a flexible schedule is required. Bachelors degree, preferably in English, Journalism, or related programs is required. 2-3 years journalist experience and/or 2 years as a copy editor preferred. Basic computer keyboard skills required, experience with News Edit, Quark, Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator software preferred.

Pressroom Manager (Full-time)
The Pressroom Manager will direct the operations of the Press department; ensuring quality and production schedules are maintained. Obtain optimum production and utilization of personnel and equipment. Maintain effective operations and cost factors by planning and directing production activities. Ensure customers receive quality products and timely delivery. Improve productivity by recommending alternative production methods. Eliminate operating problems and improve product quality. Ensure safe work practices by enforcing safety policies. Ensure a productive and motivating work environment through positive employee relations and effective performance management. Verify payroll hours on a weekly basis. Responsible for overall staffing and scheduling of pressroom operations. Determine causes of non-conformity with products specs by analyzing production, QC, maintenance and operational costs. Work with vendors to ensure supplies are maintained and well stocked. A H.S. diploma and a minimum of 5 years experience as a Lead Press Operator or Supervisor is required. Advanced vocational or technical school training and/or experience in plate room equipment and production, preferably in a newspaper or magazine production environment also required. Commercial printing experience is preferred. Must possess strong leadership and management skills and work well with customers, sales reps, and all other applicable departments. Ability to lift 60+ pounds required. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel are desired.

Assistant Distribution Supervisor, Night Shift (Full-time)
Will assist the Distribution Supervisor to ensure production schedules are met for newspaper distribution including proper scheduling and placement of all printed materials; accurate delivery of preprints to department, review of maintenance equipment reports and basic maintenance on equipment as needed. Experience in a production environment with at least one year as a lead worker as well as mechanical ability. Must be computer literate. Experience with MS Word and Excel a plus. Must possess a valid vehicle operator license with no more than two points for two years as well as H.S. Diploma or equivalent. Normal working hours 6:00PM to 2:30AM; however, requires ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Distribution Inserter, PT - Night (Full-time)
Will feed insert packages into inserting machine as well as manually remove jams and stack output packages from machine onto skids. Normal working hours are 8PM-12AM on varying days of the week. The ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends is required. Position pays an hourly rate of $10.00. Ability to follow instructions requiring a level of education to read, write and keep accurate count of papers, and the ability to lift and carry paper bundles up to 50 lbs required.
